About Suzuki Motorcycle Certificate of Conformity
What is a Suzuki Certificate of Conformity (Suzuki COC)?
A Suzuki Certificate of Conformity, or Suzuki COC, is an official document issued by the manufacturer certifying that your Suzuki vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, colour, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type and top speed
- Fuel consumption, engine capacity and noise level
The Suzuki European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need a Suzuki COC?
This document is required when registering a new vehicle for the first time, or when importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof that the vehicle has been approved. Every Suzuki COC is issued by Suzuki's approval department.
New Suzuki vehicles usually come with a free Certificate of Conformity. For a used Suzuki or if you have lost the COC, you will need to order a replacement Suzuki COC.
A Suzuki Certificate of Conformity is required to:
- Import a Suzuki into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom
- Export a Suzuki to another EU member state
- Register a Suzuki in another European country
- Correct your Suzuki registration certificate
