About Rolls-Royce Certificate of Conformity
What is a Rolls Royce Certificate of Conformity (Rolls Royce COC)?
The Rolls Royce Certificate of Conformity or Rolls Royce COC is an official manufacturer's certificate that attests to and proves that your Rolls Royce vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type and maximum speed
- Fuel consumption, engine capacity and noise level
The Rolls Royce European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate the registration of a vehicle.
Why do you need a Rolls Royce COC?
This document is mandatory for the first-time registration of a new vehicle, or for importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof of vehicle approval. Each Rolls Royce COC is issued by the Rolls Royce approval department.
New Rolls Royce vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Rolls Royce car or if the COC has been lost, it is necessary to order a duplicate Rolls Royce COC.
The Rolls Royce Certificate of Conformity is mandatory for:
- Importing a Rolls Royce into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom
- Exporting a Rolls Royce to another EU member state
- Registering a Rolls Royce in another European country
- Correcting your Rolls Royce registration certificate
