About Dodge Certificate of Conformity
What is a Dodge Certificate of Conformity (Dodge COC)?
The Dodge Certificate of Conformity, or Dodge COC, is an official document issued by the manufacturer certifying that your Dodge vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type, and top speed
- Fuel consumption, engine size, and noise level
The Dodge European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need a Dodge COC?
This document is required for the initial registration of a new vehicle, or when importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof that the vehicle has been approved. Each Dodge COC is issued by Dodge's approval department.
New Dodge vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Dodge or if the COC has been lost, you will need to order a replacement Dodge COC.
A Dodge Certificate of Conformity is required to:
- Import a Dodge into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, or the United Kingdom
- Export a Dodge to another EU member state
- Register a Dodge in another European country
- Correct your Dodge registration certificate
