About Aprilia European Certificate of Conformity
What is an Aprilia Certificate of Conformity (Aprilia COC)?
The Aprilia Certificate of Conformity or Aprilia COC is an official manufacturer's certificate that certifies and proves that your Aprilia vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type and maximum speed
- Fuel consumption, engine capacity and noise level
The Aprilia European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate the registration of a vehicle.
Why do you need the Aprilia COC?
This document is mandatory for the first-time registration of a new vehicle or for importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof of vehicle approval. Each Aprilia COC is issued by the Aprilia approval department.
New Aprilia vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Aprilia car or if the COC has been lost, it is necessary to order a duplicate Aprilia COC.
The Aprilia Certificate of Conformity is mandatory for:
- Importing an Aprilia into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom
- Exporting an Aprilia to another EU member state
- Registering an Aprilia in another European country
- Correcting your Aprilia registration certificate
