About Lancia Certificate of Conformity
What is a Lancia Certificate of Conformity (Lancia COC)?
The Lancia Certificate of Conformity, or Lancia COC, is an official manufacturer's certificate confirming that your Lancia vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, colour, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type and top speed
- Fuel consumption, engine capacity and noise level
The Lancia European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need a Lancia COC?
This document is required for the first-time registration of a new vehicle, or when importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof that the vehicle has been approved. Each Lancia COC is issued by the Lancia Type Approval Department.
New Lancia vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Lancia or if the COC has been lost, you will need to order a replacement Lancia COC.
A Lancia Certificate of Conformity is required for:
- Importing a Lancia into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom
- Exporting a Lancia to another EU member state
- Registering a Lancia in another European country
- Correcting your Lancia registration certificate
