About Capron Certificate of Conformity
What is a Capron Certificate of Conformity (Capron COC)?
The Capron Certificate of Conformity or Capron COC is an official manufacturer's certificate that certifies and proves that your Capron vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, colour, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type and maximum speed
- Fuel consumption, engine capacity and noise level
The Capron European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need a Capron COC?
This document is mandatory for the first-time registration of a new vehicle, or when importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof of vehicle approval. Each Capron COC is issued by the Capron approval department.
New Capron vehicles normally come with a free certificate of conformity. For a used Capron car or if the COC has been lost, you will need to order a replacement Capron COC.
A Capron Certificate of Conformity is mandatory for:
- Importing a Capron into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom
- Exporting a Capron to another EU member state
- Registering a Capron in another European country
- Correcting your Capron registration certificate
