About Rieju Certificate of Conformity
What is a Rieju Certificate of Conformity (Rieju COC)?
The Rieju Certificate of Conformity or Rieju COC is an official manufacturer's certificate that certifies and proves that your Rieju vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type and maximum speed
- Fuel consumption, engine capacity and noise level
The Rieju European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate the registration of a vehicle.
Why do you need the Rieju COC?
This document is mandatory for the first-time registration of a new vehicle, or for importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof of vehicle approval. Each Rieju COC is issued by the Rieju approval department.
New Rieju vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Rieju car or if the COC has been lost, it is necessary to order a duplicate Rieju COC.
The Rieju Certificate of Conformity is mandatory for:
- Importing a Rieju into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom
- Exporting a Rieju to another EU member state
- Registering a Rieju in another European country
- Correcting your Rieju registration certificate
