About Oldsmobile European Certificate of Conformity (COC)
What is an Oldsmobile Certificate of Conformity (Oldsmobile COC)?
The Oldsmobile Certificate of Conformity, or Oldsmobile COC, is an official manufacturer's certificate that confirms and proves that your Oldsmobile vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type, and maximum speed
- Fuel consumption, engine size, and noise level
The Oldsmobile European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need an Oldsmobile COC?
This document is mandatory for the initial registration of a new vehicle, or for importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof of vehicle approval. Each Oldsmobile COC is issued by the Oldsmobile approval department.
New Oldsmobile vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Oldsmobile car, or if the COC has been lost, you will need to order a duplicate Oldsmobile COC.
The Oldsmobile Certificate of Conformity is mandatory for:
- Importing an Oldsmobile into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, or the United Kingdom
- Exporting an Oldsmobile to another EU member state
- Registering an Oldsmobile in another European country
- Correcting your Oldsmobile registration certificate
