About Chrysler European Certificate of Conformity - Chrysler COC
What is a Chrysler Certificate of Conformity (Chrysler COC)?
The Chrysler Certificate of Conformity, or Chrysler COC, is an official manufacturer's certificate that certifies and proves that your Chrysler vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type, and maximum speed
- Fuel consumption, engine size, and noise level
The Chrysler European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need a Chrysler COC?
This document is mandatory for the initial registration of a new vehicle, or for importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof of vehicle approval. Each Chrysler COC is issued by the Chrysler approval department.
New Chrysler vehicles normally come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Chrysler or if the COC has been lost, you will need to order a duplicate Chrysler COC.
The Chrysler Certificate of Conformity is mandatory for:
- Importing a Chrysler into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, or the United Kingdom
- Exporting a Chrysler to another EU member state
- Registering a Chrysler in another European country
- Correcting your Chrysler registration certificate
