What is a Hummer Certificate of Conformity (Hummer COC)?
The Hummer Certificate of Conformity, or Hummer COC, is an official manufacturer's certificate confirming that your Hummer vehicle complies with European Union (EU) standards. This COC contains all the information required for registration, including:
- Chassis number (VIN)
- Vehicle category, weight, number of seats, color, version
- CO2 emissions
- Engine power, transmission type, and top speed
- Fuel consumption, engine displacement, and noise level
The Hummer European Certificate of Conformity contains more than 52 technical specifications required by the European Union to facilitate vehicle registration.
Why do you need a Hummer COC?
This document is required for the initial registration of a new vehicle, or when importing or exporting your vehicle to or from the European Union. Government agencies require motorists to provide this document as proof that the vehicle has been approved. Each Hummer COC is issued by the Hummer approval department.
New Hummer vehicles usually come with a certificate of conformity free of charge. For a used Hummer or if the COC has been lost, you will need to order a replacement Hummer COC.
A Hummer Certificate of Conformity is required to:
- Import a Hummer into an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, or the United Kingdom
- Export a Hummer to another EU member state
- Register a Hummer in another European country
